Downtown accounting firm, Wall, Einhorn & Chernitzer, P. C. (WEC), is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael P. Tamny, CPA, MSPA to the position of senior accountant in the tax department. Tamny joined WEC in 2015 as an experienced staff accountant following an internship with the firm, and has continued to prove his value as an asset to the firm and its clients.
Focusing on tax and business matters, Tamny works with high net-worth families and their related closely-held businesses through all phases of the business cycle. Specializing in real estate and manufacturing industries, he provides tax advice and implements planning strategies for a wide variety of clients. His expertise includes federal and state tax compliance as well as business transactional work.

Tamny graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, and later earned a Master of Science in professional accounting from Seton Hall University. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), the Tidewater Chapter of VSCPA, and the Hampton Roads Tax Forum.
