Norfolk, Va. - Downtown accounting firm, Wall, Einhorn & Chernitzer, P. C. (WEC), is pleased to announce the promotion of Eileen C. Gwaltney, CPA to the position of director of government contracting services. Gwaltney joined the firm in 2004.
Gwaltney is the leader of the firm’s government contracting client service team. Her work includes assisting contractors of various sizes to navigate the complexities of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance, DCAA audit support, including business and accounting system evaluation, indirect rate structure development, and requirements for set-aside programs. Gwaltney’s extensive knowledge of the Hampton Roads contracting environment, including the shipbuilding and repair industry, has allowed her to provide innovative, customized assurance and advisory solutions across a wide range of government contractor service areas.

A graduate of Old Dominion University, Gwaltney earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Her professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), the Tidewater Chapter of VSCPA, Virginia Ship Repair Association, Tidewater Association of Service Contractors, Women in Defense and the National Contract Management Association.
Gwaltney has extensive ties within the Hampton Roads Community serving on the board for the H.E.R. Foundation, Tidewater Association of Service Contractors, Old Dominion University Alumni Association, and the d’Art Center. She also serves on the funding council for Women United and is the firms campaign coordinator for United Way of South Hampton Roads.
