2010 – 2011 Annual Accounting Scholarship Announced
The Wall, Einhorn & Chernitzer, P.C. Annual Scholarship will be awarded to a junior or senior accounting major from Old Dominion University, the University of Virginia, The College of William & Mary, Virginia Tech or James Madison University. The recipient of the scholarship will have demonstrated academic excellence, financial need and will be pursuing a career in public accounting. This $2,500 scholarship is administered by the Virginia Society of CPAs Educational Foundation and funded by Wall, Einhorn & Chernitzer, P.C.
Eligibility requirements for applicants: must be a United States citizen; must be a junior or senior accounting major currently enrolled at one of the above listed universities with the intent on taking the CPA Exam; and must demonstrate a minimum overall GPA of 3.5. Completed applications are due by January 11, 2010 to the Virginia Society of CPAs.

Marty Einhorn managing shareholder of Wall, Einhorn & Chernitzer, P.C. (WEC) was recently honored by Inside Business magazine with an Entrepreneurial Excellence Award. This year, eleven outstanding entrepreneurs from the Hampton Roads Virginia area were chosen for this honor from hundreds of nominees. An independent panel of judges selected the winners based on their innovative spirit, professionalism, community service, as well as hard work and dedication to their industry. Einhorn is one of the founding shareholders of WEC along with Alvin Wall and Jeff Chernitzer, who started the firm 20 years ago.
